WDB Power &Technology:
This is the sister concern of World Development Bank, the bank runs
its business in setting up electric power plant with the cooperation
of other strategic partners.
The way developing countries economy is moving upward, the demand of
electricity is also growing to that extent. Only in India by the
year 2016 there are $100 billion electricity market. This market is
only for setting up the production plant. The world electricity
market is huge as demand is growing higher.
International Energy Agency (IEA), nearly USD2000 billion investment
will be required in China for the period 2001-2030. This provides
new opportunities to foreign investors. Electricity market in African
nations are enormous. The natural resources of Sudan, Chad,
Ethiopia, Uganda, Niger, Congo, Democratic republic of Congo and
Nigeria are very conducive for power generation. |

Water Treatment:
By the year 2016, in the Middle East countries will invest 100
billion dollar for their water desalination to meet the growing need
for drinking water.
The need for supply drinking water has not been estimated for the
African nations, but still it can assume more than 30 billion
dollar. Water market in India, China and other Asian countries have
a vast potential.
Competition in world water market has not start yet. WDB aims to get
a lion share of the world water market. |
